In this workshop, we’ll discuss some key concepts and issues in ELT.

We’ll cover some of the basics (e.g. what’s the difference between controlled and freer practice, inductive and deductive language presentation, error correction etc.) but we’ll also discuss some other important issues in ELT these days, such as teaching 21-century skills, native speakerism, online vs face-to-face teaching, minimum teacher requirements, assigning homework, gamification, and others.

Finally, you can contribute to the ‘syllabus’ of this presentation. Those who register by April 9, 2023 will be invited to suggest other topics in ELT they would like to discuss when we meet.
